I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in a one-on-one photography session with Ellen, and it was a transformative experience for me as an amateur landscape and wildlife photographer. My goal was to gain a deeper understanding of my camera and improve my shot composition, and Ellen exceeded all my expectations.

We began by exploring the settings on my camera, making it more efficient and tailored to my needs. Then, we embarked on a wonderful hike, where Ellen guided me on how to take advantage of the diverse lighting and landscape opportunities around us. The area offered stunning landscapes and even some wildlife encounters, which provided excellent learning moments.

Ellen truly has the heart of a teacher. She communicates in a way that's accessible and easy to understand, even for someone like me who is still learning. In just six hours with Ellen, I gained more insight into using my camera than I had in the past six years. Her intelligence, willingness to share her knowledge, and fun-loving nature made the learning process enjoyable and enriching.

I met Ellen at the AAF Black Hills' October Program Luncheon "Creating Content with a Visual Edge," and all I can say is wow! Ellen help create my house into a home. My home to be exact. All the images that were taken were from around families ranch or close by. Every image captured memories of my childhood that I'll have for the rest of my life. The thing is people that come to my house see the pictures she has taken and arranged in my house and don't believe they were done by a single place. They believe are just purchased prints, not originals taken by a extremely skilled professional. I even have family that come over to look at her gallery of the prints she didn't print and hang up. They have even purchased the photos from them because the photos hold significant memories to them as well. Honestly just the best! I’m usually really hesitant to take pictures because I feel awkward and unsure of how to pose…but Ellen made the whole session absolutely wonderful! It was so easy to relax around her & the whole time was filled with laughs and talking. My pictures came out amazing and none of the poses I did looked forced or unnatural - I couldn’t have asked for better senior pictures!! It was truly such an enjoyable experience and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to get their pictures done!

Ellen, what can I say that probably already hasn’t been said? What a phenomenal personality and life coach asset. If you were going to be stuck on an island or in a zombie apocalypse, you would want her by your side. Smart, energetic, classy, savvy, personable & gorgeous. Most importantly, she’s trustworthy. All of those qualities are a welcomed asset to any new friend, but receiving them all within a single life form… that’s game changing.

I absolutely loved Ellen!!! She made the whole experience super simple and easy with her professional process. When picking my senior outfits and location she offered very helpful advice and numerous locations. During the photo shoot, it was so easy to smile in front of her. It felt like I was taking photos with an old friend. She gave me compliments and crackEd jokes the entire time, which made the whole session super comfortable. After the session within a week I got my gallery of photos. They turned out great!! I loved them so much. I truly felt beautiful in them. I would suggest her to anyone that I know for any of their photography needs!!

Ellen is probably one of the best photographers I’ve ever gotten to work with. She gets into this character that makes you feel so confident and photogenic and it’s genuine. When I saw the untouched photos I was awestruck and then when she retouched a few I was just fully blown away. I’m so amazed by her talent and skill.
