Captured at the height of autumn in Custer State Park, Needles Spires Fall is the result of five years of returning to the same overlook, waiting for the season to align just right. The fleeting nature of fall in the Black Hills makes this moment rare—vibrant color, dramatic light, and stillness all meeting at once. It’s a testament to patience, persistence, and the reward of being present when nature finally reveals its masterpiece.
