Mountains of the Millions

On a fog-filled autumn day in Colorado, I spent hours traveling the winding stretches of the Million Dollar Highway, one of the most scenic roads in the United States. The mountains were alive with peak fall color—golden aspens glowing against the cool mist drifting through the valleys. Throughout the day, the fog moved in waves, revealing and concealing the landscape in constantly changing moments of beauty. This photograph is part of a larger series captured that day, each frame preserving a fleeting glimpse of autumn along this legendary mountain road.
