Light on the Oregon Coast

Captured along the Oregon Coast during one of my road trips down Highway 1, this image features a lighthouse perched high above the rugged cliffs just north of the Seal Caves. I waited as the beam slowly rotated, timing the exposure to catch the exact moment the light swept outward—doing what it has always done: guiding ships safely back to shore.

The scene felt suspended between motion and stillness. The steady rhythm of the lighthouse contrasted beautifully with the softness of the coastal atmosphere, transforming the dramatic cliffs into something almost ethereal. What might otherwise feel stark became dreamy, layered, and calm. An image defined as much by patience as by place.

This piece resonates with collectors drawn to symbolism and quiet strength. It speaks to direction, resilience, and the comfort of light returning again and again, even in the most remote landscapes.
