Kissing Moose

Along the Tongue River Canyon in the Bighorn Mountains, this moment unfolded without warning. Set beneath the rugged limestone cliffs that define this stretch of the range, two moose paused in a clearing, meeting in a brief, almost human gesture. The surrounding landscape holds its own presence, layered forest, open hillside, and weathered cliff bands rising above it all, yet the interaction at the center shifts the weight of the scene. What would otherwise read as expansive and untamed becomes intimate.
