Cathedral Cliffs of Sunlight Basin

Along the quiet stretch of the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, Sunlight Basin opens into a landscape that feels both expansive and contained. These limestone formations, often referred to as Cathedral Cliffs, rise abruptly from the valley floor, catching the last light as it moves across the ridge.

The foreground wetland reflects that shift in real time. Still water, dense grasses, and a low tree line create a natural threshold between the viewer and the cliffs, pulling the entire scene into balance.

This artwork is offered as an Open Edition print.
Open Edition means the image is not limited to a set number of prints and will remain available as part of my ongoing collection.

Each piece is hand-stretched and expertly mounted within a refined floating frame that creates the illusion of the image “suspended” inside the frame.
