A Bed of Summer Leaves
$50.00
Bed of Summer Leaves was captured from a close, birds-eye perspective at Gage’s Garden in Spearfish, South Dakota during a spring afternoon spent gathering herbs and vegetables with a friend. Drawn instinctively to the contrast at my feet, I paused to photograph the moment where vibrant orange leaves intertwine with deep plum tones, divided by a natural, unmistakable line.
The composition is defined by texture and intimacy. Every vein, curve, and overlap is rendered in striking detail, creating an image that feels almost tangible—as though the leaves could be brushed with the hand. What began as a quiet, unexpected discovery quickly revealed itself as something far more compelling.
When displayed at scale, this piece becomes bold and immersive, transforming warmth and color into a powerful visual statement. Designed for collectors who appreciate organic abstraction and rich, earthy palettes, Bed of Summer Leaves brings depth, movement, and a sensory quality to a space—proving that sometimes the most captivating landscapes exist right beneath our feet.
This artwork is offered as an Open Edition print.
Open Edition means the image is not limited to a set number of prints and will remain available as part of my ongoing collection.
Because it is not a limited release, this piece will not include a hand signature, edition number, or Certificate of Authenticity. Instead, it’s designed to be an accessible way to bring the same museum-quality photography into your space—without the exclusivity rules of a Limited Edition.
Each Open Edition print is still produced with the highest standard of professional printing and craftsmanship, created to look stunning on the wall and last for years to come.
