Meet The Artist

Hey, I’m Ellen!
I photograph landscapes the way some people write letters; slowly, with attention, and with the hope that what I’m making will outlast the moment it came from.
My work is rooted in wild but also familiar places shaped by time, weather, and light. I’m drawn to the quiet strength of land that doesn’t perform. I follow back roads, wait through changing weather, and return to locations again and again until the scene feels honest. I’m not chasing spectacle. I’m looking for presence.
I print these images mostly as large-scale, fine art pieces because scale changes the relationship. When an image lives on a wall, it becomes part of how a space feels and how a person moves through their day. I want my work to bring calm without being decorative, and impact without being loud. Something grounding, warm, and real.
At its core, my work is an invitation to pause. To remember the natural world is not separate from us, and that beauty can be both dramatic and deeply steady.
My Journey Here
Before I fully stepped into landscapes, my camera took me all over the photography world; portraits, fashion, and commercial campaigns for brands like Fabletics, Born Shoes, C4 Fabrication, etc.
It was a valuable chapter… but landscapes were always the thing that felt like home.
In 2019, I sold my first large-format canvas print, and something clicked.
Because for the first time, my work wasn’t just being seen…
it was being lived with.
That moment changed everything.
